Your ship has two attributes, white and black. This movement widens the range the ship can graze. When the graze meter becomes full, the ship becomes invincible for a while. The number of bombs are displayed at the left-down corner.Īs your ship grazes a bullet, the graze meter (displayed at the right-down corner) increases. The ship extends at 200,000 and every 500,000 points. When all ships are destroyed, the game is over. You can cause more damage if you fire the laser close to the enemy. Use the laser to destroy the battleship of the enemy. "If R-Type was too simple for you, or DoDonPachi Resurrection was something you completed with one eye closed while doing one handed pushups, then this is worthy of your time and money."Ĭontrol your ship and avoid the barrage. "The fact that this gem is available on the App Store is great news." Shooter fans should definitely check this one out." "rRootage offers much more variety than the typical App Store shoot-’em-up. "rRootage is a classic game faithfully rendered on the iphone" "Anyone who enjoys a nice 2D shooter should grab this one instantly." ".for those who consider themselves fans of the shmup genre, this is without a doubt a must buy." "rRootage Online is why Kenta Cho releases his games in the way he does it's now got a chance to hit a new audience, and be enjoyed by many more people, in what feels like the definitive version." Including music, SFX, online hi-scores and achievements. in fact i don't even bother to play the game on my saturn anymore, so long as i use a saturn usb joypad (i'm a big fan of the saturn's dpad).Kenta Cho's legendary shooter rRootage ported and optimized for iOS!Ĥ different modes, 160 stages total. My all time favorite is dodonpachi, which isn't native to linux but is very accurately emulated in mame (so-so in raine, if you can't run it in mame at a decent speed you should try this). it's definitely one of my favorites, it's a cross between progear (another awesome shooter, its scoring system can take some time to get used to) and katamari damacy, the more ships you pick and hold onto the harder the game gets. Tumiki fighters isn't in portage, but you can get it via its sourceforge page. your actual firepower or ship does not level up though when you level up in rrootage you become invincible for a short period of time, which you'll need for getting out of tight spots. in psyvariar and in this mode you spin your ship and let the bullets graze you to level up. In rrootage psy mode refers to the game psyvariar, which it borrows the whole buzz system from. I'd love to see something like Zun/Shanghai Alice's games in Linux. my bad, I typed that really late at night. Still can't figure out what 'psi' or 'psy' mode is, though. Nice, and it's even in portage! Noiz2sa (also in portage) seems to be a bullet hell shooter too.Īll of Kenta Cho's games are in linux apparently.Īnyone else got any ideas? And my PC lags whenever I play Touhou games or Project:Starfighter. (by the way, thanks to this thread I finally found out what Touhou was, until now I've always thought it was a company that made hentai games ) If you own some Touhou games, here is a guide to launch them in Linux with Wine/Cedega: Have you tried to launch the Windows ones in wine? I've never heard of any games like that in Linux. ![]() Show the examples from Windows so we can get an idea of what you're looking for. I dont even know what you're talking about. I know of a couple in Windows, but I was just wondering if anybody knows if these games exist for Linux somewhere. They are usually extremely fast paced and difficult. Just so you know, a bullet hell shooter, aka curtain fire, is a shooter with a billion bullets on the screen, and you have only one part of you that can be damaged.
