When I was first in line I was greated by a person fully suited, masked, and gloved. The process ahead of me moved forward in a timely manner. Affixed to the post of the covered open air testing area was a large sign advising the Covid test station was being run by the SFD and UW. When I arrived I was directed by a uniformed and masked SPD officer to a lane where there were 3 vehicles waiting in line ahead of me. Once at the lab, it generally takes 24 to 48 hours to receive testing results.I was instructed online to drive up at 3:40 for a 3:55 appointment. Sample Receiving Window Hours: M-F: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Sat: 8:00 AM to Noon Sun: CLOSED Completed kits can be dropped off directly to the State Hygienic Lab at 2490 Crosspark Road in Coralville, Iowa.Kits must be packaged per directions included in the kit. Samples are picked up Monday thru Friday at 2:00pm. The building is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, excluding holidays. Please use the brown drop-off containers under the windows. Completed kits may be dropped off at Linn County Public Health in the first floor lobby, located at 1020 6 th Street SE.There are many ways to return your specimen to the State Hygienic Lab. Completed kits can be shipped by UPS with a prepaid label to the State Hygienic Lab, dropped off at Linn County Public Health for delivery to the State Hygienic Lab, or dropped off directly to the State Hygienic Lab.
